Gillespie's bus which was on its way from the station, when it stop- ped at the corner opposite the Main St. church to let out a passenger. At the same time there was an auto following. One child not seeing the auto ran right out in the path ,of the approaching- car and was knocked down. The &Inver stopped the car and the child was dragged out from beneath it. Manyi4, have been found and sold for small for-,", tunes. Single envelopes have been sold for; _ as high as 86,000.00 and many have brought upwards of 3100.00 each. sounds "fishy,". but it's nue. They arel rare, not because there are only a'few,1311t1 for the simple reason that most of them! have remained stored away and forgotten in old trunks, family chests and closets. , • Make a thorough search through your, attic or storeroom for these old lettere-' anything mailed from 1845 to 1875. I any a collector, not a dealer. Have nothingi to sell or circulars to send, but.am to pay for ram stamps more than the average dealer. The stamps I am espedally interested in are the early U. S. issues on envelopes; mailed to Canada, the stamps of Canada,i British Columbia, New Brunswick, New -1 foundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edevardl Island and Vancouver, also a few of thei early issues of Great Britain and Colonies.; - Loose stamps I do not bur -only those oral the original envelopes. So don't. cut them.' off the envelopes. Letters mailed since 1875 bear mostly, conamon stamps, and thse I do not care for. I collect nothing but stamps, and am; not interested in buying old relics, old; newspapers, books or coins. There aro many stamps of different issues which are similar in appearance. It is4therefore im- possible for me to quote valites from de- - scri dons. I must first see the stamps. When you have gotten all the envelopes together wrap the bunch carefully, using cardboard to protect them from becoming wrinkled or creased. Please don't write on the face of envelope -I am fully ac- quainted with the issues even though, the posaark shows no year date. Don't use pins. Private letters inside the etwelepes may be kept by you, as it is only the en- velope I want.
