Bell, of Loudesboro, who will caiy on the liquor store in Clinton, INSURANCE BATES Go UP. -As a 're- sult of the Paris conflagration and other fires that have visited the Province a circular has been sent out by the Under- writer's Association, raising the rates of insurance on barns, stores, houses, mercantile etock, ete. The rates govern most insurance companies. By the new regulations, Class "E" and "F," includ- ing barns, store -houses, country stores, etc., have been rated as follows: 1st class -an advance from 75c, ou $100 of property to $1.35; 2nd class, $1.50 as against $5 cents formerly; 3rd class, $1.75 as against 90c formerly and 'class 4, $3 against $1, Mercantile stock can- not now be insured at less than 75 • cents on $100, and the rate ou lumber has been advanced 25c.
