A severe case of the r
dreaded polio
disease occurred in the South Bend
neighborhood, Egreirnont Township, at
the week -end, when -George, the six-
year-old 'son of Mr. and Mrs. Mur-
ray Dowling, was suddenly takes� ill .
at. play Saturday about five o'cibck.
He was placed in an iron lung inthe
Sick "Childrerica- Il SOW, Toronto; on
Sunday, but passed away that even-
ing. The case was a very severe one,
involving the respiratory organs, the •
brain and and spinal cord, and medical
experts are studying the case in all
its aspects.' In'( the meantime strict
quarantine measures...have been taken
