he appeared as guest speaker' at a men's
dinner Sunday. He took the floor after
about an hour pf entertainment. local'
fiddlers • and singers. which followed the
dinner at Northside United Church.
Weir. 'a native of Dorchester. does
several such speaking engagements every
year:. In-his spare time he ,plays defensive
tackle forihe Montreal Alouettes. He has
also tried his hand at selling cars in
London. but finds that a little boring in
comparison to winning the Grey Cup.
"Selling cars wasn't my ball of a ax." he
explained. in an interview, And then there
was the Glen Weir Freight Lines.
Although-Weir•waS'in town to talk about
his football career. and.some of the funnier
