for the Comity of Hume was held in the
Court Reuse, Goderich, to finish the work
of the examination of the County Model
Schools. There were in attendance at the
two Model S•sheols tifty.four candidates, 21
in Goderich and 30 in Clinton, Of these
three failedsin securing the required num-

London; Rev. Wm Pocock and two
singers, Rev A W Roffe and Mrs Roffe,
three days' meetings, beginning Sunday,

life of God's people. The sevices will be
held in the Congregational church and
are purely interdenominational. All the

noticed a woman coming out of the

baby was snugly tucked. A dhninu-
tive hooded head and a tiny pair of
feet showed from beneath the folds
of the shawl, but the body appeared
as large as a sack of flour. Panting
at first thought that it was a Won-
derland freak, but on investigation
discovered it to be a large bolt of
linen with a baby's hood and shoes
carefully placed to carry out the de-
ception. Tho woman was allowed
te go on paying the duty.
