The Mission Rand of the Presbyterian
ohurch held a social on Thanksgiving I)ay.

was present and delivered an address.
Rev Dr Torrance, Moderator of the Gen-
eral Assembly of the Presbyterian church
in Canada, was ordained and inducted into
the charge of his old congregation at
Guelph ,d; years ago, so says the Guelph
Mercury.
Mr F J Ender wishes us to state that
owing to his daughter being taken down,
with aicknees of a contagious nature, he
was prevented fulfilling his engagement in
the Temperance hall on Sunday last. He
hopes to bu able address a meeting in the
Tentperanoe hall on Sunday, 1)eceniber
4th.
