The Huron Expositor, 1978-12-21, Page 27radiant beam,
This festive season comes
only once a year,
So pull up your chair and
lend an ear.
Christmas means haPPy
sharing •
Everyone is always caring
Families are all together,
With beautiful white snowy
weather.
Time to remember Jesus was
born,
Upon a cold dark 'morn
In 'a straw covered manger he
lay,
With camels around eating
hay.
Christmas is a time to put up
your tree,
Ha9s your stocking for
everyone to see
Everyone is in a joyous
mood,
The joy of seeing
Children's faces
Christmai means some-
thing different to everyone.
young children think of
Christmas is-- getting gifts
from Santa . Claus. Older
children look forward to per-
forming in Christmas con-
ce,rts and the receiving and
giving of gifts. Adults' haVe
the joy of seeing the faces of
their children so happy as
' they open their presents on
Christmas morning. To all of
the peopIe in the world;
Christmas is the cplebration
of Jesus' birthday. It is
because of this that every
Christmas Sunday we hear
the people singing ancf prais-
ing Jesus. Young and old all
around the world, rernember
Jesus in this way. Lori Strong

What does Christmas really
mean?
' Presents, trees or the star's
Everlasting warmth fills our
home this day,
The glowing fire crackles
while we pray,
Arid learn when Jesus was
just a boy,
Together we share the
Christmas joy.
Christmas has changed once
again,
With Santa Claus and little
men.
Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and
Vixen,
You'll never guess what
mom is fixin'.
Hello Tom, Lynn, and John
we very often say,
Have a Merry Christmas and
a Happy New Year's day.
Estalla Wilson

We try to eat every bit,
Around the table we all sit.

Christmas is the time of year
, with cold and frosty weather:
Laughing, reading and
Christmas songs when the
family gets together,
Today is a very special day,
Where the babe was_ sur-
rounded by golden hay.
Wisemeti came with gold and
myrrn,.
To 'the place 'where "the "
shepherds were.
The lighted tree stands erect .
and proud,
The center of• a huge Christ-
mas crowd,
The festive season comes
once a year,
Loved ones full of natural
good cheer
The fields and valleys decked
in white,
Oh, how I love this beautiful
sight.
The children stare at the
pine-scented tree, ,
Hoping for a chance to sit on
Santa's knee.
