United Church celebrated 'th holiday
season with a Christmas concert held on S unday

evening,
PC4901terS at the concert were 85 children and teenagers
lit the church youth groups and Sunday School. AboUt130
attended the concert. At the end of the concert, Santa
Claus'paid a surprise visit and presented the children in
the audience with bags of goodies,
Ailee Gibb attended a dinner party in London on
Saturday with some of her former university classMates.
The Party was held at the home of Ken and Marianne

special sections editor at theLondon Free Press, Rudleigh
McLean,, publicity director `of Harborfront and Shirley
ShatOet, former assistant dean of the UWO journalism
department who has just been appointed the assistant
Managing editor of The Globe and Mail.
Mr. and Mrs. Grant Carnochan and Treva, Vernon, B.C.
are visiting with his mother, Mrs. Tom Mulholland and
other friends in the district.
Mrs. Norma Steel visited on Monday with Mrs.. Agnes
Sipipson of the Ritz Lutheran Villa, Mitchell, and visited
WO with Mr. and Mrs. Ranton Mitchell.
Orville and Wilma. Oke returned Sunday from a holiday
in the sun at the beautiful Nassau Beach Hotel in The
#ahimas. Mitch and Mary Moore of Goderich accom-
papiel them. They report they had sunny weather in the
eighties with the evenings around 68° to 70°.
- Ruth and Lyle Carter, Gordon and Margaret Dale and
Ikon and Gloria Riley have. returned home after spending
the past week in Les Vegas.
Little Julie Carter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don
Cader, is a patient at Seaforth ,Community ,Hospital.
Miss Nancy O'Shea a student at University of Western
Ontario is spending Christmas with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Wm. O'Shea.
--Miss Manieeri Delafiey of Dublin and Miss---Cathy
Colenian oil Tuckersmith; students at Fanshaw in London
are spending holidays at their homes here.
The annual Christmas' party arranged by the staff of
(Seaforth Community Hospital was held at the Legion Hall
on 'Saturday evening. Prize winners in a draw were Mrs.
DaVid Cornish, Mrs. Roy Williamson and Mrs. Bruce
Austin.
• Mrs. Frank Kling has returned from Florida to spend
.,....cf1rilltIntS at her home here.
Mr. E.C,Boswell has returned recently from Maple
where he visited an associate with whom he had4erved in
the Navy during the first war. On the way back to Seaforth
he visited friends in Toronto and Hamilton and attended a
family reunion in Ancaster.
Mi. and Mrs. Stanley.G. Dorrance have returned from
Florida and are spending the Christmas season at the
residence in Harpurhey which they purchased recently
from Miss Jean Scott.
Weekend guests with Susan and Andy White and
Gabrielle in M cKillop included Martha and Peter.Kellinan
'of Springvale; Maine and Ruth and Brian Kereszi of
Detroit, Michigan. It's the first time in five years that the
Whites had seen Peter who served with Susan in the
Company of Young Canadians in the sixties.
John Van Geffen is recovering at home after a six week
stay in• University Hospital where he underwent two
operations.
