Lo, When Christ Is Born
Lo, when Christ is born
On this earth forlorn;
Dark night glows full bright,
Radiant with His light;
Angel choirs are heard rejoicing,
Sweetest praises loudly voicing;
Gloria, Gloria, Gloria,
In excelsis Deo!
Shepherds hear the greeting
While night watch they're keeping;
Haste and hear ye -all
ethlehem's clear call;
Here is born your loving Saviour;
Here appears the world's Redeemer.
Gloria, Gloria, Gloria.
In excelsis Deo!
O celestial spirits
Heavenly heralds true,
Tell us; let us hear it,
Just what shall we do?
Dumb with fear, '
We scarce conceive it;
Only Faith can well believe it,
Gloria, Gloria, Gloria,
In excelsis Deo!
12 Silent Night
Silent , night! holy night!
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and
Holy Infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Silent nigh! holy night!
Shepherd quake at the sight;
Glories stream from heaven afar,
Heavenly hosts sing Hallelujah,
Christ, the Saviour, is born!
Christ, the. Saviour, is born!
Silent night! holy night!
Son of God love's pure light;
radiant beams from Thy holy face,
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth,.
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth.

18 Good King Wenceslas
Good King Wenceslas looked out,
On the Feast. of Stephen,
When ,the snow lay round about,
Deep, and crisp, and even;
Brightly shone the moon that night,
Th ough the frost was cruel,
When -apoor man came in sight,
Gathering winter fuel.
"Hither, page, and stand by me,
If thou know'st it, telling,
Yonger peasant, who is.he?
Where and what his dwelling?"
"Sire, he lives a good league hence,
Underneath the mountain,
Right against the forest fence,
By Saint Agnes' fountain."
"Bring me flesh, and bring me wine,
Bring ,,me pine-logs hither;
Th ou and I will see him dine,
When we bear them thither,"
Page and monarchp forth they went
Forth they went together;
Through 'the rude wind's wild lament
And the bitter weather.,
"Sire, the night is darker now,
And the wind blows stronger;
Fails my herat, I know not how;
I can go no longer."
"Mark my footsteps, my good page;
Tread thou in them boldly;
Thou shalt find the winter's rage
Freeze thy blood less coldly."
In his master's steps he trod,
Where the snow lay dinted;
Heat was in the very sod
Which the Saint had printed.

YON
While Shepherds Watched Their' Flocks
While shepherds watched their flocks by night,
All seated on the ground,
The angel of the Lord, came down,
And glory shone around.
"Fear not," said he (for mighty dread
Had seized their troubled mind);
"Glad tidings of great joy I bring
To you and all mankind.,
"To you in David's town, this day
Is born of David's line
A Saviour, who is Christ the Lord;
And this shall be the sign;
"The heavenly Babe you there shall find
To human view displayed,
All meanly wrapped in swathing bands,
Arid in a manger laid."
Thus spake the Seraph; and forthwith
Appeared a shining throng
Of angels, praising God, who thus
Addressed' their joyful song:.
"All glory be to God on high,
And to the earth be peace;
Good-will henceforth from heaven to men
Begin, and never cease."
8 0 Come, All Ye Faithful
O come, all ye faithful,
Joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, 0 come ye to Bethelehem;
Come and behold Him,
Born the King of angels:
(Refrain)
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
Sing, choirs of angels,
Sing in exultation,
Sing, all ye citizens of heaven above:
"Glory to God
In the highest:"
Yea, Lord, we greet thee,
Born this happy morning,
Jesus (' to Thee be glory given!
Word of the Father,
Now in flesh appearing:
0 Christians, Awake
Christians, awake, salute the happy morn,
Whereon the Saviour of the, world was born;
Rise: to adore the mystery of love,
Whieh hosts of angels chanted from above;.....
With them the joyful tiding first' begun
Of God Incarnate and the Virgin's Son.
Then to the watchful shepherds)t was told;
Who heard the angelic herald's voice: "Behold,
I bring good tidings of a Saviour's birth
To you and all the nations upon earth:
This day hath God fulfilled His promised word,
This day is born a Saviour, Christ the Lord."
9 We Three Kings
We three kings of Orient are,
Bearing gifts we traverse afar.
Field and fountain,
Moor and mountain,
Following yonder star.
(Refrain)
O star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal beauty bright;
Westward leading,
Still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect light.
Born a King on Bethlehem's plain,
Gold I bring to crown Him again.
King for ever,
Ceasing never,
Over us all to reign.
Frankincense to offer have I,
Incense owns a Deity nigh,
Prayer and praising,
All men raising,
Worship Him, God most high.
Myrrh is mine, its bitter perfume
Breathes a life of gathering gloom:
Sorrowing, sighing,
Bleeding, dying
Sealed in the stone-cold tomb.
Glorious now behold Him arise;
King, and God, and sacrifice!
Alleluia!
Alleluia!
Earth". to the heavens replies.
Then may we hope, the angelic hosts among,
To sing, redeemed, a glad triumphal song.
He that was born upon this joyful day .
Around us all His glory shall display:
Saved by His love, incessant we shall sing,
Eternal praise to heaven's Almighty King.
