The Huron Centennial
stitdents enjoyed a tour
through a mysterious
haupted house on Tuesday,
October 31st, 1978.
,..The Student's Council
created the haunted house,
Supervised by the teachers.
Mrs Carter and Mrs.
Gernmell. The courageous
kids who entered the horror
house, were greeted by a
hungry man, who took the
fee of ents. Escorts gave
a tour o the dark, dingy
area. G °its, creatures of all
kin and hands were
ssing • bodies frightened
• some of the younger visitors.
The intestines and blood of a
vampire were felt by those
4fave enough while a mist
Covered the air. They
travelled through a • dark
tttimei and came upon a dead
man and a vampire laying in
a coffin, with chains tattling
nearby. The child eating

The challenge games be-

game of football. The teachers

Senior Girls Soccer Champ-

respect for the teachers by

The Trip to Goderich
"Grade 7"
In science we were taking
about water. We are taking
this to learn the different
cycles that water goes
through. The go'ernor of the
water treatment is the Ont-
ario Ministry of the Environ-
ment.
The sewage treatment
place has different cycles.
After this the water is dump=
ed in the lake and it is just
taken, back in the Water
Treatment Plant.
At the jail, we, learned
about the council room. The
governor's room is in the jail.
The walls , were high with
rocks on it so they can't
escape. They have a big
room with windows. for light
so they would not use much
electricity.
At the museum, we saw
the different machinery and
the tools used a long time
ago. The wheels are •not like
ours but are may_cof steel.
They showed us the stuffed
Banquet is is planned for all
ladies of the congregation.
(pot luck) There will be a
table of white elephants for
sale. The ladies continue
their Thursday morning.
Bible study, The past week
was on Mary, sister of
Lazareth. Last weelp.,they
studied Martha, then looked
at the sisters' different quali-
ties of faith and character
they brotight to life.
November meeting of the
Aimwell Unit was held on
Monday in charge of presi-
dent Audrey Thompson. Roll
call wall answered by 17
members and 1 visitor. Fol-
lowing a report on work and
life committee of church by
Florence Cartwright, it was
moved to dispense with the
December meeting and
Christmas party this year. A
card was signed by members

The Grade 5-6 Visit
to the Zoo
One of the highlights in
the month of October was our
trip to' the Grand Bend Zoo.
Mrs-. -Scott-and-Mrs: -Sal diver
helped Mrs. Thomas look
after our class. We went to
the zoo by bus and our bus
drivel' was very good to us.
At the zoo we had a good
laugh at the baboons. An-
other kind of monkey was the
North American type. It
turned out to be yourself
look big in a mirror.
Our visit to the zoo .r was
part of Animal Science unit.
This helped us to learn more
about animals.

Grade 7's Make Pottery
On Thursday the 16th of
November and Friday the
17th of November the grade
7's of Seaforth Public School
made pottery. Many pots and
dishes 'emerged from the
lumps of clay that were given
out by Mr. Carroll the princi-
pal. His wife, Mrs. Carroll,
showed us how to work and
knead the clay. The grade 7's
still have to paint the pieces

Report cards out
at Hullett
On Tuesday, November
21, report cards were given
out along with interview
sheets in case interviews
were requested by parents.
Interviews were from 7:00
p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the 28th
of November and during the
day on the 29th.

The sixth meeting of the
Kitties Kooking Cats was like
no other meeting of the
group
The place was Kittle
McGregors and the setting
was a Holloween party. Each
girl %vas dressed in a costume
and brought a friend. The
girls were' split into four
groups of four for an exciting
scavangor hunt. The winners
were group consisting of Judi
Dewitt, Betty Konarski, Judy
Anstctt and Karen Dale.
These girls were awarded
With Wintario tickets.
The party continued with
bobbing for apples then JUdi
Jewitt led in several mind
games. Debbie Wallace ,won
prize for her costume and
received a Wintario ticket.
She came dressed as Beep,
London on Thursday having
hip surgery on Friday

bers were told to write two
commercials on good nutri-
tion and design a T-shirt for
next meeting.
The girls also started work

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY-

d. Dorene McGee of Blyth. The McGees
celebrated'their 50th wedding anniversary with
an open house Saturday for all their friends and
neighbours. A - dinner was organized in ,
Dungannon United Church for all the McGees
