Community Centre open last Wednesday. The

the Drug, Alcohol depart-,
mcnt of the church. The next
general meeting will be a pot
luck dinner, 12:30 on Dec,
5th.' Mrs. John Taylor was
hostess when unit three

The weather has-been so
sunny and warm, that the
raspberries, (hot ,everbearing
are very confused, It seems
like Spring had arrived. On
Monday the plants were
cdvered with blossom with a
few berries formed.

home from the hospital and
pleased to hear sheis much
improved. ----
said that the cleaning up of
the road was done with the
help of a federal grant and he
pointed out that none of the
money had come from tax-
payer-s in Morris to help pay •
for the road to the plowing
match.
Councillor Procter then
asked what they were going
to do with the road allowance
and it was suggested that
trees be planted.
Council instructed clerk
Nancy Michie to write to
MTC suggesting two
alternatives that would allow
the road- to be left open,
Their alternatives were a low
level flow crossing suitable
for summer use only or a
standard type bridge,
council suggested MTC be
asked, about the feasibility of
either project.

Morris council at regular
meeting on Monday discus-
sed a petition front some
landowners asking the town-
ship to keep open and
_maintain 'for the use of the
public the road which crosses
Lots 10 and 11 of ihe first
concession of Morris.
The road was opened as an
access road to the Inter-
national Plowing Match but,
which runs over • top of

Reeve Bill Elston said
MTC had refused any grant
money for the road.
Councillor Ross Procter
said there were-several alter-
native's that could be looked
into so That the road could
serve during low water
levels.
