Although these two clubs
are not going to threaten the
Wings for first place they
should provide some en-

season.
The Hawks jumped iittoan
early 6-2 lead but sat back
and watched the Blues score
3 third period goals to
provide the LH.L. with its
most _exciting match of the,
,year. The inspired comeback
just fell short howevler when
John Janrnatt scored for the

The Flyers moved into a
second place tie with the,
Kings by downing the Stars
4-3 during last- Sundays
middle match.
Dave Longstaff paced the
Flyers to their triumph by
connecting for two goals.
Brian Cooper and Ralph
Wood added single markers
for the winners.
Brian Dale scored twice for
the Stars will Doug. Phillips
adding a single seore.
The Stars have lost a
couple of tough games now
and their 0-3 record is a little
misleading. The team• is
better than the record shows.
Despite being outshot 40-23
the green team had some
good chances.
I.H.L. Notes: ,,Jerry Feeny
and Dave Broome combined
for 2 goals in 25 seconds last
Sunday. They represent the
quickest goals so' far this
season. Gary Montgomery
lowered bis -gbals against
average to an amazing 1 ,33
last week. The Hawk victory
over the Blues last Sunday
was the first time in 4 years
that a Hawk' team , has
managed to beat the Blues.
