in contrat, is like a city on a
hill, with news of its activ-
ities reported regularly in the
media.
At 'the Dohoku. Centre in
Nayoro, the church has con-
siderable influence on-young
rural people through its
Three Love Schools with
their threefold theme of Love
for God, Love for Man, and
love for the Soil. Non-
Christians attend the daily
Bible study sessions, and
have a great deal of respect
for the "guides for living"
taught in the Bible.
Rob and Kaiko led in the
singing of ttwo Japanese
songs. The junior girls choir
sang "There Were Twelve
Disciples", and the anthem
"I'm Blessed by God's Love'
was sung, Following Mr.
Witmer's address, Julie and
Jill Armstrong sang a duet,
accompanying themselves on
their ukuleles and with Mrs,
Bruce Keys at the organ.
ENJOYING THE BARBECUE -a The Stirling
family thought last , week's barbecue at
Brucefield United Church was alright. Here
Kim, 10 months, plays quietly as brother Kevin,
seven years old, mother Donna, father Wayne
and brother Keith, four years old, enjoy their
supper. "(Photo by Oke)
