This is one thing. that the patients enjoy as they do not see too. many children. The Choir put on a programme of song and dance that pleased the patients, and later they went among the men and passed out cookies. Comrades Jaek Holland and Mike Feeney • greeted the local people as they arrived. , At the Dominion Con- vention at Edmonton this year the sons and daughters of Veterans who belong to the Legion were-given the right to vote at branch level. Last Thursday at the general meeting there were a num- ber of the associate members at the meeting. The ex- ecutive wants to welcome them and extends an in- vitation to the rest of the associates to attend the meetings. Two first war members were also 'at this meeting. The , Poppy drive canvass of Seaforth will be on November 6, at 6:30 p.m. Alistead of Oct. 6 as reported in the bulletin. Poppies will be on sale in the stores before this date. Sunday smorgasbord that the ladies served was a success as usual, and they will be having another one on Sunday, November 26. This time they are having Turkey and all the fixings. Caspari and Company were recently well received at the Toronto Zoo- where they entertained for hoursboth...- • . the Blyth Centre for the Arts and will feature the popular bluegrass band The Dixie Flydis who performed at Memorial Hall last spring. The Flyers are one of the top bluegras4 bands in Ontario and have a popular following in many areas. Also on hand for the concert will be Dublin-area recording artist Bob Burchill. Mr. Burchill has performed his blend of folk and country music across Ontario and as far away as Sweden. His album Will I Ever Get to Heaven _ has been . widely praised by music critics. The third act on the bill is Barb Banfield of London who has connections with Blue- grass music. The concert will be taped for later broadcast on FM 102.
