Charles Eyre, 73, of
Egmondville died Tuesday at
Seaforth Community
Hospital.
Born in Seaforth he was a
son of the late Silas. and
Janet Eyre.
He married the former
Agnes Wright on April 15,
1933x and the couple farmed
in Tuckersmith Township
until retiring to Egmondville
in 1966.
He was a member of
Egmondville United Church.
He is survived by his wife;
a son Ronald of Guelph and a
daughter Mrs. Larry (Janice)
Snell of Goderieh and four
" grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a
sister and seven brothers.
The body rested at
'Whitney-Ribey Funeral
Home, Seaforth where
service was held Thursday at
2 p,m. with Rev. Robert
Roberts officiating.
Interment followed ' in
Maitlandbank Cemetery. -
Pallbearers were Wm. R.
Smith, Keith Sharp, Alex
Irvine, Ivan Forsythe, Jack
Sinclair and Leonard Strong.
Flowerbearers were Jahn
Wood, Andrew Houston,
Arthur Finlayson and Rob ert

The Reverend William 0.
Rebinson of Goderich died in
Axandra Marine and
General Hospital on
Wednesday, October 4 at
the age of 91.
He was born i Stanley
Township on May 11, 1887 to
Edward and Annie (Orr)
Robinson. He attended No. 5
school in •Stanley Township
where he received all of his
public school education.
In 1904, he moved, wiht
his brother Carlyle, to
Saskatchewan where he ,
farmed and later received his
high school educaiton,
.graduating in Theology in
1926 and was ordained 'at
Clinton, Ontario.
Frain 1927 to 1931 he was
the. United Church "minister
in Storthooks, Saskatchewan.
He returned home to
Stanley Township in 1931 to
be with his aging mother and
his sister.

IVIound, Manitoba frOm 191 I .
He attended the University
ofToronto from 1913 tod917.
Ater that he assisted with the
fanning at home. He taught
on the second concession for
a few weeks in 1922.
From 1923 to 1925 he was
a student minister ,at Walton
and worked on his M.A.' from
the University pf Toronto at
the same time. He graduated
in 1932 to 1940; in Elgin,
Manitoba and Medora,
Manitoba from' 1940 to 1949;
in Belmont, Manitoba • from
1953 to 1956; and in Cypress
River, Manitoba from 1956 to
1957.
he retired in June of 1,957
but continued to minister
through the retired supply in
Oakville, . Manitoba from °
1957 to 1962. •
He lived in Portage La '
Prairie, Manitob om 1962
to 1968 and in Goderi from
1968 to 1978.
The late Rev. Robinson is
survied by his wife, the
former Catherine A. Caskey
and serveral nieces and
nephews. He was pre-
deceased by three sisters and
three brothers.
A funeral service was held
at McCallum Funeral Home
on Friday, October 6 at 2
p.m. The: Reverend John
Wood-assisted-by- --tho -Rev-
enderd Andrew McKenzie
conducted this service.
Interment was in Bayfield
Cemetery. , •

Hospital,
She was the former Norma
Ross, a daughter of the late
David. and Bella Ross of
cKillop Township.
She' was married to John
Byerman and they farmed in
McKillop Township .until re-
tiring to Seaforth in 196
Her husband died on Jur
29, 1965.
She was member of North-
side United Church.
Surviving • are two sons,
Gordon of Kitchener and
Melvin of ,Guelph; four

On FridaY; October 6 , •

were in charge of stuffing
turkeys and baking pump-
kin pies. Room 2 were the
Indians and they were in
charge of All the vegetables..
The turkey was bought at
Mitchell's and the students
brought the vegetables from
home.
Trip to Doon Pioneer Village
On Thursday, October 5
grades .3 and 8 went to DoOn
Pioneer 'Village near
Kitchener. While there, the
pupils saw many pioneer
artifacts and observed some
spinning and wea ving. The.
classes 'left at 9:20 and
returned at 5:30.
The Trip was to show both
'classes how the pioneers
used to live because. both
classes are studying pione-,
ers.
School Band Cleans Up
The School band cleaned
up the ground and at the,
International .Plowing Match
on Friday, September 29, to
earn tome money for the
band, The money made is
going towards the purchase
of new instruments so the
rental fee is-not so high.
