The summer concert series which the
Seaforth chamber of commerce has spon-
sored for several years will continue again
next summer.
Meeting Tuesday evening the C of C
executive congratulated concert committee
head Dr. CharleS Toll who has spearheaded
the program on the success of the series and
accepted his offer to continue as chairman
and to initiate plans for next year.
The L. of C annual meeting was set for
Wednesday Nov. 22 and will follow a dinner

had adopted a minimum housing bylaw
or has a resplution setting such standards
can qualify for the OHRP program.
The clerk said homeowners who qualify
tafit'ssistance in making repairs have a gross
adjusted income of $12,500 or less annually.
There are different regulatiOns governing
'the one parent family in regard to income.
Mr. Friend said repairs to the home
should be done "at one fell swoop" under
the program.
When a homeowner applies under the
program, the Hibbert building inspector will
check the home to. see what repairs are
necessary to bring the house lip to municipal
building standards, Then the 'homeowner is
asked to get two estimates from different
companies on the cost of making repairs to

Mr. Friend said anyone wishing further
information on the program can drop into the
Hibbert municipal offices in Dublin.
At least five homeowners in Hibbert
Township will get some assistance in the
coming year With home repairs.
The township was recently awarded
$40,000 under the Ontario Home Renewal
'Program (OHRP), the first time the wnshap.,..
has taken part in the program.
OHRP provides per capital grants to
Ontario •Municipalities to lend money to
homeowner- occupants to repair their houses
to acceptable municipal standards.
The objective of the program is to correct
faulty structural and sanitary conditions and
to upgrade plumbibg, heating, insulation
and electrical systems of owner-occupied
homes.
