Brodhagen and Winthrop Warrettes started to play Monday • night but were rained out in the top of the second inning. On Tuesday Night Sept. 12. Brodhagen and Winthrop Warrettes played in Winthrop. Brodhagen was the lead with five runs in first inning and kept the lead bathe end of the game which gave a 10-6 win for Broth hagen. A home run and, a triple were hit by Nancy Schellenberger and Ruthann Eckert hit one triple. Brodhagen have two wins _and Winthrop has one win, The next game is on Friday at 9:00 in Brodhagen. Stan-ley township crest contest open The Walton Intermediates men's team had their most exciting weekend of this year's ball season on Labour Day weekend. The 10th annual Goderich Industrial Fasthall Tournament proved to be Walton.!s, big win,:,, They captured the B Champion- ship after, defeating Wing- ham in the final game. Walton played the first game of the 'weekend on Saturday at 2 p.m. against Lucan Irish Nine and de- feated them by a, score of 6-1. Rick McDonald was on the mound for Walton and there threw a two hitter. , Walton's-second game was played .on Sunday at 6 p.m. against the Zurich Buckeyes. McDonald threw' a one hitter The win put Walton into the final game against Wing- ham at 6 p.m. on Monday. McDonald again was on the mound for Walton arid pitched a one hitter. Don Edgar took the loss for sufferings thumb injury in the early stages of the final game, Gary Bennett stayed in the game. The Walton team . 'Showed. great spirit during the entire weekend and appreciated the fan ,support. The fir;t Bannon reunion was •held at the Lions' Park Seafotth Sunday Sept. 3rd when sports such as base- ball, soccer, frisbee and darts were played. Also in the afternoon agenda was a dip in the heated Lion's pool. The families attending provided ample food for everyone. the reunion _was enjoyed by all under the organization of Mrs. Peter Bannon and Alice (Bannon) (Horne). It was- agreed by everyone to make it an 77 attend Bannon reunion I.H .L Organizational Meeting Tuesday, Sept. 26 7:30 Seaforth Arena ALL PLAYERS ARE URGED TO ATTEND annual event.
