Mr. and Mrs, Vincent Lane visited Mr, and Mrs. Zack Ryan,
Seafgrth recently and attended a party in honour of the
graduation 'of their daughter, Mary Elizabeth from Fanshawe
College Woodstock School of Nursing.
Mr, and -Mrs. Harold Coleman have returned from a pleasant
tour of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and St.' Johns

Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Coleman and John-
' were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Eves and Janet from MooseJaw and
Ron Scott, Seaforth.
Howard and Jean Burnley R. R. #2, Kippen have returned
home froma five week vacation visiting Vancouver Island and his,
daughters in High Prairie Alberta, and Sault Ste. Marie.
Andy, Susan and Gabrielle White attended the Water family
reunion Saturday in Canaterra Park in Sarnia. Bud and Frances
White of Birmingham, Michigan, returned to McKillop with
them for the weekend.
Marg and Bob Nihill and son Scott of St. Thomas visited
Sunday with Andy and Susan White in McKillop.
Visitors from Denmark at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Viggo
Caspersen, Jarvis Street, are Mr. Ca spersen's sister, Mrs.
Helene Mortensen from Bronderslev, his brother, Mr. Harold
Caspersen, Hjorring, and a friend, Mr. Robert Christensen,
postmaster from Bronderslev.
Mrs. Kristine K. Nielsen. from, BrOnderslev, Denmark is
visiting with her son, daughter-in-law and family, Mr. and Mrs.
Ivan Nielserr,- Jarvis Street:
Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Dale have returned recently from a tour of
' the British Isles.
Roderick MacKenzie, Morrisburg, chemistry teacher, and
,School Iroquois landed their plane on Hoppers Air Strip. Friday
evening. They spent the night with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
MacKenzie before continuing their flight to Calgary. Mr.
MacKenzie called. Monday evening to say they had landed in
Regina after dodging •several small thunderstorms. They also
had been delayed at Minot N.D. by a severe but short .storm.
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Keys and family of Hamilton spent b__
weekend -here with relatives.
;Mrs. Cecil Lemon of Sarnia visited her mother Mrs. Harry
Chesney this week.
Kenneth Scott was in Toronto Saturday when he picked up his
parents Mr. ant'. Mrs. Sam Scott of McKillop and Mr. and Mrs.
James F, Scott of Seaforth who also had returned following a
three week trip to England and Scotland.

direction of Clare French.

old time selection s were
excellently played by the well
trained Legion band--rather
handicapped by holidays.

by the Stratford Old Tyme Band
and Square dancer's July 23 under
direction of Mrs. Betty Ebel,

catalogues of 6:30, and the
auction itself begins at 7:30 from
the Playhouse stage.

This summer Huron County
Public Library is sponsoring a
BOOKMARK Contest. This
contest which runs until August
. 25, is open to children from ages
6-13. Entrants may draw anythlhg
they wish as long as the words,
"HURON COUNTY, PUBLIC
LIBRARY" or the HCL logo
-appear on the bookmark.
The design must ,be drawn in
either black wax crayon, black felt
pen or black ink. 'The winning
bookmarkk will be used through;
out the 'county libraries, Prizes
will be awarded at the end of the
summer to the best bookmarks.
Pick up an entryform today at the
library and mark your original
bookmark. Be sure to submit your
entry by August 25.
As well as the bookmark
contest,-the lib rary-is-presenting-
n summer reading program for
school aged children. The theme,
"Discover the Magic Kingdom of
Books", encourages children to
enjoy the pleasures of reading.
