It, was his first showing of these slides, outside the family. With him on -this trip were Mrs. Whitman, his youngest daughter, and her friend. They took advantage of the "Eurorail" plan which is , designed especially for tourists. When you have a ticket you can travel• anywhere in Europe at any time. Holland, Belgium, Ger- many, Italy, Austria and "Sivitzer-- • land. • Dr. Whitman had pictures taken in most of these countries, except Holland and Italy, where it was very hot and mosquitoes were troublesome.
