This week the ladies were taken
on a cruise by_Andy Markson, of
Exeter Travel Centre.
Using slides, Andy brought us
to New, Orleans first, showed us

Rebecca ,Dixon (Dixie) Reid
of 72 Rattenimry St., W, Clinton
died • at her home suddenly on
March 5th', 1977. She was 79.
Mrs Reid was the former Dixon
McGowan, daughter of Robert
McGowan OrHalton County and
w,.,„ Maggie, Murdoch of Lucknow.
She was born in Blyth and lived
there until her Marriage 'to Fred
Reid when the couple moved to
Stanley Township.31rymoved to.
Clinton in 1952!
Mrs. `Reid 'who was a member
" of United Church,
is survived by her husband, Fred,
'three daughters,. Mrs. Bruce
(Anna) 'Keys, Nana; Mrs,
Gordon (Ruby) Hill,' Varna, and
Mrs. George (Doris) Cantelon,
"Seaforth. She is also survived by
15 grandchildren and 14 geat
grandchildren..
Funeral services ' were

Home on Tuesday, March 8th.

MORNING. OUT — These. area mothers-were among
those who 'attended a MornIng'OUt meeting at the
Seaforth town Hall Tuesday. While their children played
in other rooms, watched by volunteers, thesq' mothers
listened to a travelogue on England presented by a
travel agency-from Exeter.

Wednesday night When George
Pagowski of Outreach
Department, , Royal - Botanical
Gardens, - Hamilton,' spoke' on
"Hanging a Garden".
He (provided the names of
suitable plants for both indoor
and outdoor plantings and had
• colorful slides to demonstrate
successful combinations.
He had many hints to offer in' a
discussion on the preparation of
containers for .hanging' indoor or
.outdoor plants dnd on the care of,
them.
Miss Florence Elford, who
presided for the meeting,
reported the plani Safe will •be
heldagain,this y ear - on 'May 7.
