The smprgasbord supper..
prepared and served by the men
of , Hensall United Church on
Monday evening was by all
appearances a great success,
Over four hundred people were
served and all enjoyed the variety
of meats, vegetables and salads
not to mention the cakes and
pies lo finish the meal. A great
effort deserves great praise.
Thank you, gentlemen. Come

morning by lighting the first
Advent candle. The ceremony
was• performed by Mrs. Walter
Spencer.'
The- service was conducted by
the Rev. -Don Beck whose
message . was called "Great
Expectations". We have to be
prepared in Order that we 'may
receive the Christmas message
and this is what Advent time is
for, he said.
During the service the
following members from other
churches were received into
membership: Mr. and Mrs. Lorne
Gackstetter, Miss Sylvia Merner
and Mr4. Robert Middleton.

anthem. Flowers in the sanctuary
were in loving memory of Mr.

observed and the annual meeting
of the United Church Women will
be held on Monday, December
6.
