Seaforth Junior Farmers start
the regular Broolnball season off
with a bang. The Farmers skill-
fully outmaneuvered the B.P.
Dumpers last Thursday to give
them a 1.0 victory. The lone goal
was scored by Pat Flanagan, who
left Dumper goalie, Gord Dick, no
chance after receiving a blasting
pass from Paul Coyne. This goal
came early in the second half of
the game. The Dumpers put forth
their best effort to tie up the
game, but the Farmers held them
off. Their goalie, Martin
Verberne, was a major factor in
this winning game.
In the ladies league, victories
went to:
Centralia College 4, Hensel' 0
Myth 3, Seaf. Jr. Farmers 0
Parr Lino 3, Winthrop 0. •
Chiselhurst 1, Strat. Jr, Farm.O
Inthe men's league victories
went to:
Chiselhurst 2, Centralia Coll. 1
Archers 1, Parr Line 0
Bendix 3, Hensall 1
With the league just
starting, there may be lots moue
upsets like this one. Come out
and watch, the league says.
