FILM CREW IN SEAFORTH — Life on Main St. was disrupted somewhat
Thursday 'when a film crew was set up most of the day doing a commercial for TV
outside the4ank of Commerce. Local people were involved clearing snow away
from the bank's lawn so that according to Ed. Sumner of McKim Advertising, it can
be used year round. Phony grass was put down to cover any bare spots, and after
waiting for just the right amount of sun, the cameras rolled. A lot of other Seaforth
people just watched the action and wondered what the heck was going on.

WELCOME TO THE BANK — The plot of the
commercial for the Bank of Commerce that was shot
in Seaforth Thursday involves a young man who
drives up outside the bank in a very old-, smoking car.
He bounces out, having decided that it's time for a
new car loan' and is greeted at the door, by the
"manager". All parts, including a kid on a bike, a
girl running across the street and a lady walking a
dog, were played by actors. Only the dog was local.
He's Coke who belongs to Glen Smith of Main
Street. After many rehearsals, the film was shot once
with an English sign on the bank and once with the
French sign above. (Expositor Photo)
