This week there are a few areas
I'd like to touch on. First, for all of
you people who have ordered
y earbooks from last year, fear
not! All /here is left to do is the
tying together of half a dozen
loose ends. This year's book is
underway, also, thanks to the
dedicated work of the yearbook
staff.
Secon dly, as many of you have
noticed, the man with the rings is
coming. Like a yearbook, a school
ring is an attractive memory. I
hope many are purchased.
Concerning the Moxy concert:
Moxy will play on December 22nd
and not on the 11th as prefiously
^planned. The group was invited to
perform with 33 Top in Houston's
Astrodome. At this point in their
career, such a concert is crucial.
Moxy is still very enthusiastic
about playing here in Seaforth.
Tickets are still available.
This year's Drama Club is
running , into the same old
problems. People dropping out,
people not coming to practises

PLANNING STRATEGY Players and coach Terry Johnston were deep in .
conversation, planning strategy for their game against Parkhill at SDHS on
Tuesday. The midget team, above, lost as did the seniors to the Parkhill teams but
the junior SDHS squad won their game. (Expositor Photo)
and restriction of stage gym time.
As far as gym time is concerned,
I'm kind of disappointed. I know
Seaforth lays a lot of importance
on its teams, but other clubs
shouldn't suffer because of this.
It is Physed 1st, all else second.
is this department in complete
control of the school? Why can't
they be equal instead of superior
to other in-school organizations.
(I think someone asked these
questions last year:)
That's it for this week.
Remember, there are 13 school
days until Christmas exams/

Education Minister Thomas
Wells did not consult with teacher
or principal groups before
reclaiming Ministry control over
curriculum, Huron-Perth Roman
Catholic Principals' Association
members were, told Tuesday,.
David Rehkopf, past president
of the Ontario Principal's
Association, said that he was
annoyed at Mr. Well's, decision to
return to a standard curriculum.
The speaker suggested that the
motive of the Education Minister
was political. "Educators had
been told to'go and plan their own
curriculum; the Ministry would
have nothing to do with it. After
having 'trained ourselves and
beginning our own curriculums.
all of a sudden, the Ministry
comes along and says "You're
doing a lousy job, we'll take
over."
Mr. Rehkopf told the Huron-
Perth principals that the Ontario
, Principal's Association could
,:become the representative body
I for Ontario principals. Admitting
that the present membership is
small, he noted that there had
been a dramatic climb in numbers
since the passage of Bill 100,
which denied the right-to-strike to
prinCipals. "We must wake up
our own people. We must act,
rather than react," Mr. Rehkopf
told the principals. He suggested
that principals, as a group, must
solve their identity crisis and
decide whether they were shop
foremen or middle management.
