MRS. OTTO WALKER
Mrs. Otto Walker, Cromarty,
the former JOsephine Alexsandra
Davis of Exeter, passed away
Saturday, November 13 in
Victoria Hospital, London where
she had been a patient for the last
two months. She was in her 75th
year.
She received her education in
the public and secondary schools
in Exeter and was a member of
the Trivia Memorial Anglican .
Church there. She workeklOr Lee
Wilsons, and then wento to Jakey
SteWarts who, when retired, sold
his business to Southcott Brothers
and worked there until her
marriage in 1929 to G40 Walker,
carpenter. •
In 1950 they started business in
the site known as Walkers
General Store and Post Office
until 1969 when. they sold the
business and retired' to their
home in the village. She was an
adherent of Cromarty
Presbyterian Church.
She was the wife of Otto, and
mother of Helen, Mrs. Hugh
Currie, Dorchester; Margaret,
Mrs. 'Robert Hulley, Winthrop;
Caroline, Mrs. Jack McGhee,
London; , Alice, Mrs. Larry
Gardiner, Cromarty; also two
sons, Alex and Kenneth, both of
London and 16 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held
from the Hopper-Aockey funeral
home Tuesday, November 16 with
Rev. Jarvis, minister of Cromarty
Presbyterian Church officiating
with Rev. Dan McInnis, Innerkip,
great,nephew of the deceased
assisting.
Pallbearers were: Jack'
Cockwill, Dashwood; Harry
Statham, Parkhill;. Grant and
George Erwin, Putnam and Bob
Hulley Jr., Winthrop and Bob
Graves, St. Thomas.
Flowerbearers were:
grandsons, Roy McGhee,
London; Jimmy Walker, London;
Steven Gardiner, Cromarty;

named,
Orders in Council were
issued this week naming the last
three representatives to the ne*
Huron County • Housing
Authority.
The new members are Jean
Adams of Goderich,- Jack
Alexander of Wingham and J.
Calvin Krauter of Brussels.
These members join four others
who were named last summer and
who have been operating the
County Housing Authority since
September I, 1976 when it'
replaced municpal housing
authorities in Goderich and
Clinton and direct management
authorities in Wingham,
Seaforth, Exeter and Bayfield.
Other authority Members are
W. Harold Knisley of Goderich
(chairittari), Ken Flett of Clinton,
Frank Sins of Seaforth and Jack
Delbridge of Exeter.

NEW DOCTOR — Dr. Charles Rodney has joined the
Medical Staff of the Seaforth Medical Clinic. A
graduate of Waterloo University and the University
of Toronto, he is a surgeon. Dr. Rodney and his wife,
Patricia, have taken up residence in Egmondville but
,# are interested in buying a "mini-farm". They have
two sons, Jason 5, a student at St. James' School.„,
Seaforth and Justin, seven weeks, and a daughter
Janice, 1 1/2 years. Dr. Rodney, who came to Canada,
from Trinidad, said he is very glad to see soccer.

his homeland. Mrs. Rodney, whose family came
from Jamaica, was a lecturer • in Anatomy at the
University of Toronto when they lived 'in that city,
teaching medical students, nurses and Phys. Ed.
