The Huron aunty Housing
Authority would ike Seaforth to
consult neighbouring
municipalities about an
agreement that would allow
IvicKiltop and Tuckersmith senior
citizens to live in Seaforth's OHC
apartments.
Council heard Monday night
that John Lyndon, Huron
Housing manager, will send
Seaforth a sample agreement and
councillors agreed to contact the
two townships.
"1 think they are hoping to -get
fewer, bigger apartments in the
future with township
participation," said clerk Jim
Crocker,
Mr. Crocker said he understood
that town residents would get
preference in existing buildings
after an agreement is signed,
since the town contributed capital
for the purchase of both sites.
Mr. Lyndon said there are no
vacancies in the, Seaforth
apartment at present. Senior
citizens who go to Florida for the
winter can still qualify for, an
apartment, he 'told Mr. Crocker,
iut priority is given to the most
teedy Seniors.
