The early game at the Lions
Pool saw the Villagers stage a igte

The Queens took a quick lead
and led throughout as the Village
were missing several key players,
However a seventh inning rally
brought them from a 7-3 deficit to
a 7 all tie and one point.

with a convincing 25-11 win over
the faulting Travellers. The game
proved to be a, see-saw battle until
'the fifth inning when the Firemen
took control and moved out in

Late Game
The late game saw the Texaco
Duffers move back • into sole
possession` a" first place with a

determined Turf Club. The Turf
opened a 6-0 first inning lead but
couldn't hold on as the Duffers
picked away and finally scored
the winning run in the bottom of
the seventh to take a 1 point lead
over the Queens.

Firemen will make up their
missed game tonight (Thursday)
at 7 p.m., while Monday's action
