After regular office hours, Sandra Falconer does the night shift typing. on Mondays' and Tuesdays on the same machine. The machine is equipped with two different type faces and handles paper;and copy from one column to eight inches wide. .While Mrs. Brown types on the keyboard the machine'sets the copy on light sensitive paper. After setting a few hundred lines, she runs the paper through the process,or, in the photo below, where chemicals bring .up -the imprint on the ip-aber. It's called photo typesetting and has allowed speed up revolution from the old days when newspaper type was set on a linotype and put together line by line. From the processor it's on to the proofreader, where every line is read over and checked.
