Death came to Thomas E.
Smale of Hensall at South Huron
Hospital, Exeter, on Tuesday,
July 13 in his 64th year.
Surviving are brothers, William
and Howard, Hensall; Alvin,
Seaforth; And sisters Mrs. Pearl
Hooper, Grand Bend; Mrs. Irene
Quance, Staffa and Bella, Mrs.
Clarence Fairwell, Zurich.
Rev. D. Beck ' conducted the
funeral service on Friday at the
Bonthron Funeral Home, Hensall -
Surxiving are a daughter Mrs.
donald (Gail) Matthews of Sea-

' Tilbury; five sisters. Mrs. A.

Hayter, Alfred Ross Jr., Lloyd
Stewart, Jerry Moffat and Doug
Dowson.
CHARLES CUNNINGHAM
Charles Cunningham of
Clinton, former Seaforth resi-
dent, died in Clinton Public
Hospital on Saturday. He was in
his 72nd year.
Born. in -Morris Twp., he
farmed for a number of years and
later operate& a shoe repair
business,
His wife, the former Josephine
Edge of SeafOrth, survives. He is
also survived4tyybrotheryteorge
of Seaforth and Hold of
Kitchener and by sisters, Rosella,
Mrs. Len Rooney, Blyth and
'Sobel, Mrs. Frank Hunt of
Seaforth. He was predeceased by
a sister , Mae Robertson in 1964'
. Mr. ".• Cunningham was a
member of the United Senior
Citizens of Ontario, The Clinton-
ian Club, Clinton Golden Radar
Club and Huron Lodge 377.

landbank Cenietery, Seaforth,

MRS. LEONARD FORD
Mrs. Leonard Ford, 66, of
Seaforth died Saturday in Sea-
forth Community Hospital.
' The former Janet Grant she
was a daughter of the late Mr.
and Mrs. John Grant of Belleville.
Her husband who predeceased
her in 1973 was manager of the
Canadian bank of Commerce here
until his retirement in 1968.
Following his death she moved to
Belleville returning to Seaforth
last year.
In Seaforth she was a itimber
of St- Thomas Anglican Church
and in Belleville of the Salvation
-Army. She was active in the
Seaforth Lawn Bowling Club.
18 years ago. She was a member
of Main Street United Church.
Mrs. Gilbert Smale is survived
'by her husband;twdsons, George
and Dalton, both of RR2 Dtiblin;
twkdambters, Mrs. Elgin (Nor-
ma) Mign„ Listowel; and Mrs.
Kennethtf(Helen) Guthrie, of
' Ancaster; one brother, Clifford
watson, of Detroit; two sisters,
Mrs. John (Florence) Jackson, of
Komoko, and Mrs. Thomas (Au-
drey) Goodfellow, of Woodstock;
10 grandchildren; and seven
great-grandelfildren.
The remains rested- at the
Heath-Leslie Funeral Home in
Mitchell until Wednesday when a
service was held at 2:30 p.m.
Burial was, in Woodland Cem-
etery.

conducted a service at the funeral
home.
MRS. MARY MALCOLM
Mrs. Mary Malcolm, formerly
of Hibbert Township died at the
Kilbarchan Nursing Home on
Saturday.
She was the former ,Mary
Pepper and was born in _Logan
Township 'on May 11, 1889,
daughter of the late Wre. Pepper.
and the former Janet Stark. On
September 6, 1911, she'_ was
married to James T. Malcolm;-
who predeceased • her on
December 25, 1951. Following
their marriage, they faimed at Lot
6, Conc. 3 of Hibbert Tvvp. She
was a member of Main Street
United Church in Mitchell, and
she was a life member of the
U.C.W. She was also a life
member of the Mitchell Agricul-
tural Society.
Surviving is a son, Dalton of
Mitchell; a daughter Marion,
Mrs. Ross Gordon of Seaforth,
and four grandchildren. She was
predeceased by one daughter in
infancy and granddaughter. She
was the last surviving member of
her immediate family, having,
been predeceased by three
brothers and three slaters.
The late Mrs. Malcolm rested
at the Lockhart Funeral Home in
Mitchell where the funeral
service was held on Monday with
the Rev. Donald Deas officiating.,
Pallbearers were: Glenn Pepper,
Jack Malcolm,- Charles Roney,
Jack Burchill, Fergus Lannin and
Ken Britton. Flowerbearers were:
grandchildren Barry-Gordon,
Bruce, Gayle and Keith MalOrm.
'Expressions of sympathy were
shown through floral tributes and
memorials to the Ritz Lutheran
Villa, Ontario Heart Foundation,
Canadian Arthritis and Rheuma-
tisni• Society and Church
'Missions. The funeral service was
largely attended with friends and

Mrs. Mabel Crouch and her son
from Toronto visited Seaforth
Manor and Mr. Crouch played a
number of-piano selections for us.
He is a gifted pianist and hoPe he
will visit us again.

Mrs. John J. Ryan, 33, of
Egmondville. died Saturday at
University Hospital in London,
following a short illness,
She was the former Elizabeth
Anne (Betty) Murray, a daughter
of Gilbert Murray, and the former
Rose Flanagan, of R.R. 1, Dublin.
She was married in Kitchener to
John Ryan and came to live in
Egmondville in 1972, She was on
the staff of the Canadiap Imperial
Bank of Commerce here.
Surviving are her husband, her
parents, a daughter Colleen

The funeral service for the
late Cecil Bowman, Mitchell, who
passed away suddenly in Act on
on July 12, was held at the
Lockhart Funeral Home,
Mitchell, on Thursday.
