Oilers The Oilers travelled to Kin kora on-wednesday July 14, only to go Finals The ."A" final saw the Queens win the "A" Trophy with an 8-7 victory over the Firemen in the ':.catly...c.ontest. The game was-a real cliff hanger as the Queens started fast open ing a 7-2 lead after two innings as theFiremen appeared jittery. However the smokeaters 'Iet- tied down and narrowed the gap to 7-6 after six innings. The final inning saw the Queens add a single run which eventually proved to be the winner. The Firemen loaded .the bases with none out but could only manage, a single run as their final rally fell short. A really good crowd was on hand and the action proved to be the best this season as the Queens were presented with: the "A" trophy. The "B" trophy went to the ' Travellers as they came from behind to nip the Villagers by a 5-2 count. the village opened a 2-0 lead which held up until the fifth inning.
