A Smorgasbord supper in the pavilion, convened by -Mrs. Lorraine Peck was the highlight of the event. During the afternoon, swimming, a ball game, little tots having fun in the wading pool and a series of games and contests was enthusiastically carried out by the Geiger family. In looking over the Book of Memories there was much interest and reminiscing, Wayne Draper, President, warmly welcomed all, and had charge of the election for another year. Mrs. Ken Elder was elected' president,'and Mrs. Raye Fulmer of Watersdown, secretary. Prizes were awarded, and a very special gift from Honorary President; Dr. Jennie Smillie Robertson, who is now residing in a Nursing Home in Toronto, was announced by the Secretary.' Americans at reunion Bolton-Ford Reunion The 8th annual Bolton-Ford Reunion was held Sunday, July 11th at the Centralia Community Centre with almost ' complete attendance. The' day was supervised by Mrs. John Soldan. Races• were well patronized by the thirty children attending. Brian Ross, 12 years old, London, gave several selections on the bagpipes. Funeral service was held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Bonthron Funeral Home conducted by Rev. H. Van Essen of Exeter. Interment in the Hensall Union Cemetery '. MRS. EMIVJA J. BROWN Mrs. Emma J. (Ballath) Brown of Hensall formerly of Teeswater, passed away at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Wednesday, July 7, 1976 in her 92nd year. She was the widow of the late Morris Brown. Surviving is her daughter, Mrs. Helen Thiel, Hensall, son Bert Brown, Windsbr, brothers Fleming and Arthur, Wingham, Walter, Teeswater, sister Miss Mabel Ballath, Hamilton. Also surviving are four grand- children and one great- Rev. Don Forrest, Exeter, conducted the church service accompanied, at the piano by Louise Mitchell. Nelson speaks at Chiselhurst The Chiselhurst entertained the Units of the Hensall United Church, the ladies of Carmel Presbyterian Church, Hensall, also Kippen, Thames Road, Staffa and Cromarty organizations on Wednesday, June 30. ' The President, Mrs, Harold Parker presided and welcomed the guests. The Devotional was taken by Mrs. parker, Mrs. Jack Brintnell, "Mrs. Harold Parsons. Following the - Devotional Mrs. -Parker introduced the guest speaker Mr. D,wight Nelson, Seaforth, the student minister who spoke on "The Scott Mission". Mrs. Nelson was guest soloist. Mrs. T. Hensall The edinbined Presbyterian and" United Church Service was held in the Hensall United Church on Sunday with Rev. Don, Beck in the pulpit. The "Subject of the sermon was "Let's have a Party" based on the' story of the foolish and wise virgins. Duet s were played with Mrs. John Turkheim at the organ and Mr. John Blackwell at the piano, the first being "Just a Closer Walk with Thee" and the second, "Andanta TranqUillo" by Handel. Next Sunday; the combined services will again be held,in the United Church, Constance The Sam McClure family, Bob Thompson and the Easton family spent Sunday at Pine Lake. Cort Constantine L1842 held their monthy meeting on July 8th. The committee reported on the chicken barbeque held in June. The barbeque to'be held on July 24 is for the members. A dance is booked for Seaforth Community Centre' on the 6th of November with the Country Entertainers providing the music. Port and Beef Barbeques being catered to in AuguSt in Seaforth were discussed.
