At one time when speaking to
the late Joe Scott, Sam's father,
he told me his grandmother's
name was Turnbull. This may
have had some connection with.
Mrs. MacKinnon's grandmother.
We will' try to pursue further
through Sam Scott, Rosborough.
Robert, my grandfather, found
a farm in Huron County which he
bought and, called Dunipace after
his native town in Stirlingshire,
Scotland.
He had three daughters and
only one son George who in turn
had one son„, Arnold and three
daughters Ella, Mabel and
Mildred. Sad to say this finished
our line of Turnbulls, as far as we
know. Arnold had two daughters.
When visiting in Bridgili, of
Allan in 1953, I went • to the
cemetery in Dunipace, but
learned no more of my ancestors.
'This is an interesting hobby if one
' is able to travel.
Mr. and Mrs. John Dick, nee
Peggy Trapnell, Detroit, Mich.,
visited her mother, Mrs. H.
Trapnell, over the weekend.
Peggy also called to see her
former teacher at S.P.S. and
recalled old times.
I ,was at "Schadeview" Satur-
day evening to enjoy the usual
rich 'sunsets, but the sun refused
to favour. Better luck next time.
We have a few coming to us. Lake
Hurod sunsets are famous.
Mr. and Mrs. „John Pethick
celebrated' their birthdays July
10. Mrs. Ruth Pepper, their
daughter, took them out to
celebrate. As their birthdays are
close together, the two were
celebrated together.
Mrs. Tom Wilbee, R.N., was
on duty this morning" after an
enjoyable hOliday first in Winni-
peg at the Veteran's Convention.
They then went on to Victoria
through British Columbia where
they enjoyed our beautiful
mountain scenery second to none
in the world.

(By Mabel Turnbull)
Mrs. Margaret MacKinnon and
her friend Mrs. Anne Godfrey,
both on Guelph City CoUneit
visited Miss Turnbull: Mrs.
MacKinnon had attended the
'Scott Dickson picnic last year and
found among the names her-
grandmother Elizabeth Turnbull
Rutherford, who had married
Archibald Dickson,
Later, to a mutual friend of
ours; the name Seaforth came up
and he said he had a friend' in
Seaford] by the name of Turnbull.
This caused her to question
further the possibility of
relationship.
She promised my friend to call
on me which she did last week.
We were not able to establish any
direct relationship, but we had a
very interesting visit, which we
hope to continue at a later time.
