The early game at the Rec grounds saw the_ Turf Club even their record at 1-1 .as they handed the Teachers a 14-8 defeat. The Turf started fast scoring 9 big runs in the first two innings to build •up a big lead, then they coasted. to a fairly easy 14-8 win. The Teachers made a desperate last inning rally but fell far short as the lead. was too, great. The late game saw the Texaco Duffers open a quick lead _then hang on to post a narrow 10-8 win over a much improved Travellers squad.
