Council briefs
At their regular 'May council
meeting, Seaforth's town council
considered the folloWing matters:
Council agreed to pay $16.44 as
Seaforth's share of the March
deficit at the Vanastra Day Care
Centre. Seaforth will review their
decision to pay -the deficit for any
Seaforth child who attends, now
that a three month trial periOd is
up. McKillop, Clinton, Colbourne
and Hay are also assisting
Tuckersmith . Township in the
centre.

standard on Main St. and a pop
stand next to the phone booth at
John and Main Sts. contravene
town by-laws.
Public .works committee chair-
man Reeve John Flannery was
authorized to purchase a used
street sweeper from the town of -
Clinton if it will work here
satisfactorily.
A loan to the Seaforth Junior D.
Hockey club of $1250., with a
promissory note due September 1
was approved. The club needs the
money for advance expenses for a
dance.
