Mrs. Jack Hunt was the auctioneer, assisted by Mrs. David Roy. There was an excellent attendance, , and. two new members, Mrs. Keith Stephenson and Mrs. Bob Roberts, were received. Mrs. Robt. Stirling opened the meeting with a poem "Seeds of Goodness." The worship service was on the theme of flowers, comparing their characteristics with those of women. Scripture was from Proverbs 31: 10-31. The committee which presented the worship service consisted of Mrs. Jack Hunt, Mrs. David Roy, Mrs. Wm. Taylor and Mrs. Keith Stephenson., • Mrs. Ralph Stephenson read the minutes of the last meeting, and Mrs. Mervyn Hayter gave the treasurer's report. The dessert 'euchre and bake sale was a great -success-. In the- Cancer... Society canvass, done in this area by U.C.W. members, $213. was collected. Mrs. Tom Consitt, the delegate to the Flowers of Hope meeting at the A:R.C. Workshop in Dash- wood, reported that $8,000. is needed for the canvass this year for the projects and services for mentally retarded in this area, All money collected is used locally. ' Mrs. Wm. Taylor closed the regular meeting with a Mother's Day poem; and a 'delicious lunch was served by the committee following the plant auction. ' Personals Mr. and.
