The only other Major purchase
made for the town hall was an
adding machine that cost under
$500, according to Clerk Franklin.
Included no

the nearly $200,000
total, but not mentioned by the
Free Press are the levy that the
county charged Seaforth, last
year, about $82,000, and school
debentures which are in the
town's name but paid for by the
county school board, of about
$98,025. Both these large
amounts were listed under non-
committee items in last year's
btidget. The non-committee total
was the same in the Free Press
story and in the budget.
The school and county amounts
come to about $180,000. The town
spent $16,500 buying its street
lights from Ontario Hydro. The
1975 payrylent on sewer deben-
tures was about $2000, Clerk
Franklin say's and the $1800 spent
on new chairs for the council'-
chambers brings the total to
$200,000 in round figures.
