Colleens 4-H was held at the
home of Mrs. Chas. Friend, on
Maich 11 . The meeting began
with the 4-1-1 pledge followed by
the roll call, the secretary's report
and are treasurer's report.

About 40 Senior Citizens met in
Dublin and boarded' a bus to
Kitchener to take in the 12:00
o'clock show of the Ice Capades
recently , It was a most enjoyable
day.. ' •

for the Senior Citizens in St.
Patrick's School Gym at 2:00 p.m.
It consisted of a short program
and a card game.

After opening the meeting the
girls prepared ."Brown Batter
Rolls". Mrs. Spencer Jeffery
discussed the recipes required for
this club. Record book co‘ ers
were discussed 'by all,
Mrs. Jeffery demonstrated the
difference between kneaded and
batter dough. Mrs Smole brought
the "Brown Batter Rolls" from
the oven and everyone sampled
them.

Mrs.R. Laing
At their March meeting on
Monday night, the Ladies Aid of
Cromarty Presbyterian. Church
decided to hold their annual
strawberry supper on the fourth
Wednesday in June.
Mrs. Robert Laing presided for
the meeting which was held at the
home of Mrs. Mervin Dow, The
worship service opened • with--a
poem, Hello, followed 'by the
hymn. 0 Master Let Me Walk
with Thee, with Mrs. Thos. Scott
accompanying with her autoharp.
Mrs. Scott and Mrs. Dow were in
cheige of devotions based on
Psalm 98.
A quiz on names was enjoyed
and the roll call was answered
with a book exchange. The
secretary, Mrs. Jim Miller, read
several thank-you notes for gifts,
also the minutes of the January
meeting. The -treasurer's report
was given by Mrs. John Miller.
Following a contest, Triplet Time,
the meeting closed with blest Be
' the Tie, and prayer.
There was a lovely display of
layettes for the Unitarian Services
at the meeting, and the Ladies
Aid members are grateful to
those in the community who
contributed articles.
W..S. Meets
The March meeting of
Cromarty W.M.S. was held at the
home of Mrs. John Jefferson with
Mrs. Jim Miller presiding,
Hymn, This is My Father's World
was sung followed by the
scripture, Matt: 13: 18-23, in
unison.. Mrs. Miller , gave the
meditation and prayer.
The topic, the second article on
Gatt-Fly, was taken by Mrs.
Mervin Dom and Mrs. Charles
Douglas. Mrs. T.L. Scott, the
secretary, read the report of the
February meeting . Eight
members answered the roll call
by naming a church or kindergar-
ten in Japan' or Taiwan. The
offering was received and
dedicated by Mrs. Dow.
Mrs. Calder McKaig gave the
treasurer's report. Cards and
visits were recorded.
Invitations were read from
Thames Road U.C.W. to attend
their Thankoffering meeting on
April 5th, and from Knox Church,
Mitchell, W.M.S. to attend their
Spring Thankoffering service on
April 25th. Both meetings are at 8
p.m. Current events were given
by, everyone.
