To the Editor:
I have just-returned from five days in
Ottawa, where my husband' attended a
convention of H.U.D.A.C. (Housing and
Urban Development Association of
Canada).
There were e the usual opening
ceremonies. breakfasts, luncheons, fashion
shows and tour of ebe National Arts Centre.
Highlights of my visit began on Tuesday.
February 3, when we, more then 500 ladies
were taken to the Lester B: Pearson
Memorial Centre for tea with Mrs. Pierre
Trudeau our hostess. I had the thrilling
experience of shaking hands with her,
chatting with her and having her give me
her autograph. 1 shall not go into detail
regarding our conversation as it was
mainly woman-talk and personal.' She is
noiaeonly beautiful to see but a warm,
sincere human being who emanates love:
not only' for her fanlily but for ail people.
Because she folleWed the golden "rule of

visiting Cuba. Mexico arid Venezuela, she

Huard, a former goalie, tossed

played - excellent hockey and has
joined Jerry Feeny as former
goaltcnders who decided to try to
shoot instead of being 'shot at.,
Ken Ding scored four goals last
Sunday -night in his best
performance of the year. Gary
Osborne won the "Vezina"
trophy and Dave Broome took the
scoring title. With Danny Muir,
Brian Leonhardt, Kevan Broome
and Fred Burton in the lineup the
Wings should win over the Kings.
The Kings have possibly the

of it was my meeting with Margaret

the way, feeds her baby the natural way,
dresses like Our daughters, and speaks our

I used to think'that piotocol was
an incurable disease and I often wonder if I
was not correct. I believe that some of the

records fell during the season
with excellent individual

how the six teams stack up for the
play-offs.

playoffs with two straight wins to
their credit. One of those victories
was a big 4-3 'triumph over the

Randy Wood has hit his stride
after a slow start. Wood and

their last three gaGies'. When they

The Flyers have a wide edge
over the Stars in balance,. If the
green team can lee a full club and
play solidly for 60 minutes they
could . pull an upSet. However,
'with the Flyers playing very well
and carrying momentum into the
playoffs look for the Stars to exit
early.
BLUES VS HAWSK 8:30
The Blues finished second this
seasop behind the Wings.^They
had four shooters finish in the fop
ten and scored the second highest
number of goals.
The Blues overall balance is the
best in the league. A strong
offence lead by Ron Dalton
over the regular season and won
the season se ribs with the Suirs,
3-0. . •
Bob Watson's good seaeon *(12
goals, 6 assists) and a strong
defense helped the Flyers
overcome early' season struggles.
Glen Nicholson moved to the,
forward line and this provided thee-a-
Flyers with much needed scoring
punch.
The Stars' season has not, had
much to offer in the form of
winning but the spirit is still,
there. They have gone through at
least six ,pleyer changes. Paul
McKellar turned out to be 'a
pleasant surprise for the Stars
with 13 goals.
