Mrs. Eric Luther of Hensall led the Christian Women's
Club song service on Sunday evening and sang several vqcal
solos accompanied at the organ by Mr. Luther.
Jim Laurie of Blyth arranged and directed a musical
program for "Family Night". The program consisted of dance
xnumbers by Karen Glousher and Ted Elliott, the Highland
Fling by Beth and Lode Charters. The Country Chicks
harmonized for several quartette numbers and include Sherri
Marshall, Stephanie Van Amersfoort, Sherri and Karen
Richmond. Jim Laurie entertained with Irish and Scottish
songs accompanied by Mrs. Ella Richmond. Miss Pearl
Gidley a native Blyth thanked the entertainers on behalf of
the residents.
The Blyth Senior Citizens Club were hosts on Wednesday
afternoon for the October Birthday party. The twenty-six
celebrants were presented with gifts by the Club, following the
program and lunch was served to 150 residents and guests.
Mrs. Keith Webster was emcee for the afternoon with vocal
solos by Mrs. McClinchey accompanied at the piano by Mrs.
Phillips and a sing-a-long led by Mrs. Mac Ilroy. Mr. and
Mrs. Harvey Johnson showed colohred slides of Florida and
gave a very interesting commentary. One of the celebrants
Mrs. Margaret Erratt expressed the appreciation of the
residents for the very enjoyable program and party.

the foster parents who were honoured at the Huron'
Childrens Aid Society's annual meeting in Clinton

During business it was decided
to have a Bakeless Bake Sale. A
report was given on the Fiar
Booths and it was decided to pack
a bale to go to a Mission Rouse in
London, and donations are to be
sent to the Institute for the Blind
and Five Oaks.
A work period followed with
members cutting out blocks for a
quilt. Lunch was served by Betty
Koehler.
The members of the McKillop
III 411 girls held their third
meeting at the home of Mrs. Van
Dorren on October. 14. Each girl
brought a loaf of bread which they
had made, to the meeting. They
made Brown Batter Rolls, and.
enjoyed them very much after the
meeting.
Anniversary Services were held
at CaVan United Church with Rev.
Harold Snell, Exeter the minister.
Mrs. Neil Little gave a violin solo.
Hymn of Approach, "Joyful,
joyful we Adore Thee" was sung
and the word from God was
Responsive. Psalm #63 -2 Corin-
thians 31-21.

An Anthem "My Mouth shall
Speak The Praise" was enjoyed
with Miss Marjorie Papple at the
organ. A violin solo by Mrs. Neil
Little, "Sonata Handel". "Lead
on 0 King Eternal" concluded
the service. '
Meeting 3 of the "Bready
Bunch" was held at Kim Riley's.
The girls 'began making brown
batter rolls from the very start of
the meeting because it takes 40
minutes for the batter to rise.
During the preparation Betty
Glanville assistant leader discus-
sed the convenience of yeast
products. While waiting for the
' bread to rise members continued
with their regualr meeting proce-
dures starting with 4H pledge and
Institute Ode. '

on Friday .at 11:00 .a.m. with
Canon Terrence E. Finlay of the
Church of St. John The Evangelist
