PEE WEE MINOR SOCCER CHAMPS — The Seaforth continentals are Huron
chaMps again this year, after winning 14 of 15 league games, 4but of five exh ibition
games and one of two Ontario Cup games. They scored a total of 107 goals •in all

The third race winner was Harlo Champ owned by ernest
Brown and Harold Gibbings, Clinton with Harold driving. The
mile was in 2.15:3 and the pay off 11.40. Second was Lembo
Chuck owned by wayne Homer, Brucefield and driven by Randy
McLean. Fourth was Smash owned and driven by Arnold
Campbell of Seaforth. • Fifth in the fourth race was Robin Hood C owned by Jennie

This week end marks the close of racing at Goderich , Hanover
and Clinton tracks. Johnny Muir, Seaforth, is still the leading
driver at the Goderich Raceway.
Our record exactor took place 'at the London track in the
seventh race when Virginia's Misty and Pen Dins Sob combined
to pay 1784.00:
Marcel Van Landuyt, R.R. 2, Staffa rode Claybrook Milton in
the first race at Clinton Raceway on September 28. They won the
race in 2:10. It is Marcel's first drive after 3 months recuperation
from a broken leg.
Maxine Watts, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Max Watts has been
appointed Assistant Regional
Director of Huron-Perth for the
Young Olympians of Canada by
John McCarroll of Stratford.
Maxine's duties will be to
travel throughout the counties of
Huron and Perth introducing the
Young Olympians Program to the
schools.

enjoyed a fine program on
Tuesday afternoon, by the ladies
of the Zurich, Blake and Bayfield
area. Mrs. Mina Talbot gave the
devotional and a lovely musical
program was provided also by
special request a beautiful duet
was sung "On the Wings of a
Dove". Several residents
requested favourite hymns and
Mrs. Jack Thompson closed with
prayer. •
Visitors with. Mrs. Ada Reid
were Mr. and Mrs. John Wain of
the Bluewater Hwy also Mrs. W.
Ball, Mrs. Elsie Dinsmore, 'Mrs.
J. Storey and Mrs. Eva McCart-
