DAY CARE
REGISTRATIONS
Corresiendent
V.J .Lane ,
in the past week while the area
had some showers with overcast
skies there were a couple of days
sunshine that allowed farmers to
salvage most of the remaining
spring crops.
Some beans were threshed and
from reports they are surprisingly
good in quality and quantity.
Farmers are hoping for more
sunshine as it will take several
days to complete.
The voters have been listening
to a lot' of promises the past few
weeks but no one has promised
better weather, had they done so,
you can bet there would be a big
rush to the polls on the 18th.
Silage corn is also ready and it
will be some weeks before it can
be harvested for grain, this also
promises a bumper crop. Perhaps
the best ever.
As you drive on Highway
readers will notice another new
home being erected in the hamlet
of St. Columban which continues
to grow.
