The complete funeral service was conducted at the Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond on Monday, August 18 at 2 P.M. by Rev. Roy A. Dungey of Bishop Cronyn Memorial Anglican Church. JACK SCHOONDERWOERD Jacob-us P. (Jack) Schoonder- woerd of Lot 1 , Con. -1, Hibbert Township passed away suddenly on Saturday as a result of an automobile acc ident,He was born in Holland 43 years ago, son of Mrs.Johanna SchoonderWoerd of Hibbert Township and the late Mr Schoonderwoerd. On September 25, 1965 he was married to the former Jane Moons. He had operated the Mitchell Metred, —Concrete Ltd. He was a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Dublin. Surviving beside his mother, is one daughter Janetta at home, six brothers: Neil of R.R.1, Sebringville, William of Clinton, John, Thomas,. Clem and Luke of Hibbert Township ; four sisters: Miss Joan Schoonderwoerd and Angeline (Mrs. Roy Swart) both of Hibbert, Marie (Mrs. Bruno Sinosci) of London and Martha (Mrs. Dick Moons) of Watford. The late Mr. Schoonderwoerd rested at the Lockhart FUneral Home in Mitchell until Wednesday morning when the funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick's Church,Dublin with Father T.G.Dill officiating. Interment followed in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Dublin. JANE SCHOONDERWOERD Mrs. Jane Schoonderwoerd of Lot 1, Con. 1. Hibbert Township passed away suddenly on Saturday as a result of an automobile accident. She was born in Holland 38 years ago, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joannes Moons of Forest. On September 25, 1965 she was married to Jack Schoonderwoerd. She had taught piano and accordion lessons for anumber of years. She was a member of St. patrick' s Roman Catholic Church, Dublin. • Surviving besides her parents are one daughter Janetta at home; four brothers, Everett, John and Charles. all of Forest and Dick of Watford; one sister Miss Bertha Moons. A delicious smorgasbord meal was held t the noon hour, arranged by Mr. and Mrs. Ross Stephenson and family. Prizes were given to the youngest girl present, Sheila Burke of Wingham; youngest boy - Andrew Perrie, son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Perrie; Oldest woman - Mrs. Verna Somers, Oldest man - Archie Young, the person coming the farthest - Ross McCall from Carleton Place. Person with a brithday nearest to this date was Jack McCall. Patrick's Separate School, Dublin. Surviving is one sister Janetta at home, his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joannes Moons of Forest and his paternal grandmother Mrs. Johanna Schoonderwoerd. of Hibbert Township. Her many friends will be glad to hear her stay was only for a few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. ,Sam Love have returned to their home in Saskatoon, Sask. following a visit with the former's sister, Mrs. Walter Broadfoot and other relatives. Mrs. Kathleen Danby, Brussels and her daughter,' Mrs. Ron Wescott of Toronto visited Sunday with Mrs. Maud Leeming. Since coming to Canada two years ago this family has become very well known for their musical talent with engagements at Tor- onto, Kitchener and many places in western Ontario. The "Over 90" Club met on Wednesday afternoon and were assisted by the Walkerburn Club volunteers of Auburn. Three new members were welcomed to the Club, Mrs. Sprung, Willis Moun- tain and William Westlake. Eunice Batkin of Clinton was a guest of the Club for the afternoon and entertained with accordian numbers. Templeman Barbara Roney, Marilyn and Carol Miller were hostesses for a miscellaneous shower for Linda Moore, bride-elect, on Wednes- day evening in the township hall, attended by neighbours, friends and relatives. A program of contests, read- ings by Mrs. Harold Pethick and musical numbers by Ruth McPhail, accompaning herself on the gujkr was enjoyed by all. MarilyEAller read an address of good wishes and Linda was the recipient of many lovely and useful gifts. Linda expressed her appreciation to all and a social hour was enjoyed. The Hibbert Community Young People enjoyed a bus trip to the Science Centre and the Metro Toronto Zoo on Sunday. Mrs. John Drake and Murray, and Mrs. David Sim and Jennifer flew to Montreal and visited for a week with Mr. and Mrs. Ron Rossi and family.
