The league will ' again be
Composed of eight teams .(listcd
below; and will play Monday
nights.
Only a few new faces will meet
the public this season as a
disappointing number wanted to
play this year.
Anyone still wishing to play
must contact the executive and
another draft meeting will be
held.
The rules were discussed and
little change has been made, The

rules to their respective teams at
the first night. The league will get
underway May 12th.
A league tournament will take
place on the Centennial weekend

see all eight teams participate in
the double knockout tournament
with Monday's winners in "A"

this season as the teams are
pretty much the same as last year
when there was a close race for
the league title.
' Don't forget May 12th, the
opening night, for • plenty of
exciting ball.

Goderich A r.ena which is situated
adjacent to the Raceway's home
stretch.The pari-mutual operation
will be, in the Arena. Patrons will
have the option of watching the
races outdoors from the

Artena via big screen TV similar
to a championship fight closed
circuit telecast.
Racing Secretary Don, Masse
has alsembled a fine field for the
Feagan Invitational including
early entries Honky Tonk, Romeo
Lobell and Local Boy.
Masse reports that area
horsemen have responded not
only to the Feagan opening day
-feature but to the entire Spring
Meet at Goderich. "It's' a gr eat
idea" Masse stated. "It really
fills a hole in race scheduling for,
both patrons and horsemen in
Western Ontario. We're running
it as a test meet but I'm confident
it's going to lead to an extensive
race season here in Goderich."
The Bluewater Spring Meet
will be followed by 'the
-established Dungannon Summer
Meet at . Goderich Raceway on
nine consecutive Fridays,
commencing July 4th throughout
August 29th.
