Meals on Wheels
needs more drivers
More volunteer' drivers are
needed for Seaforth's' Meals on
Wheels program. Meals on
Wheels organizer , Mrs. Bev.
Thomson says that there is
• currently a shortage of drivers to
deliver the meals from Seaforth
Community Hospital's kitchen
where they are prepared, to. the
Seaforth and area, people who
receive the meals.
Some regular drivers are away
on vititer vacations and others
prefer not to. drive in the winter
time, Mrs. Thomson • said.
Organizers hope some retied
men in Seaforth might volunteer
their services as drivers. At the
present time there are few men,
volunteers working 'for Meals on
Wheels and more would be
welcome.
Anyone interested in acting as
a volunteer driver, a job that
takes perhaps an hour once or
twice per mond( can call Mrs. Th

THE END OF AN ERA --- The old flat bed press that
• printed about one ° million copies of the Huron
Expositor in the ten years or so prior to 1969 when
the paper went offset was finally lifted out the back
door of the Expositor office one day recently. For ihe
last six years the press has been idle, except when it'
was needed for an occasional large poster.,The press
took up space in the Expositor back shop that is
needed for, Warmed renovations and go, obsolete
after not too many years use, it was sold for scrap.
