SDHS and daughter Sf Mr. and
Mrs. Stuart Stevenson, returned
August lfrom a trip that included
daily attendance at UN sessions;
aboat trip to the statue%f Liberty
and tours of the Empire State
Building and Rockefeller Centre;
She travelled to New York with 46
Canadians,. from all over Ontario,
who were also sponsored by the
two lodges.

In New York they were joined ry
by several busloads of American
st udents. All the Rebekah and
Oddfellow winners, about 150, .....
toured together and there were
two Canadians pnd two
Americans sharing many of the 'V
hotel rooms.
Anna -Lee found New Yorkers
"very friendly" but said the
subway there was really dirty. "it AV E WAY
was over 100 in the subway some
days and as soon -as you walked
down you felt like you had gotten
hit in the face with a wet rag."
She made many good friends,
really enjoyed herself, and
leained 0 lot, Anna Lee said. She
will be speaking to lodges in this
area and- showing slides --of her
trip this fall. On September 11
she will be in Brussels, but no
other speaking dates have been
confirmed yet.
