Constable Wayne Moulten of the OPP visited St. Columban School to
present an informative program to the pupils on safety. Safety pamphlets
were distributed to the children at 'the conclusion of his presentation.
The pupils inGradesland 2 interviewed Constable Moulten on his work as a
policeman since the topic they are presently researching is "Helpers".

port and Lou Rowland Transport,
Dublin and Ellens' Cartage of
Mitchell attended a Commercial
Driver Improvement Course in
the Town Hall at Mitchell on
Friday evening March 2nd and
Saturday morning March 3rd.
This course was presented by
John Killop of Windsor and Mer-
vin Sheppard of Kitchener, staff
members of the Transport Asso-
ciation of Ontario. The drivers
were all appreciative of the know-
ledge gained from this course
and the interesting manner in
which it was presented to them
by Mr. Killop and Mr. Sheppard.
Mrs. Lloyd McCarthy, Mr.
Keith McCarthy and Mr. and Mrs.
Terry McCarthy were in Toronto
recently attending the funeral of
the former's nephew, Mr. Percy
Reese, husband of Joan Mc-
Carthy. Joan is a daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael
McCarthy' Jr. Also surviving is

approve the re-zoning of a p-arcel
of land on Lot 30, Con 1 from.

planner is directing the circula-

The Staffa . Knit Wits 4-H
Homemaking Club held a work
meeting March 10th at the home
of their leader, Mrs. Butson,
with 15 girls present. -Mrs.
Roe's assisted the leaders,
Mrs. Butson and Mrs. Jeffery
and the girls were divided into
three groups. Samples of rolled
edges, trim, setting in sleeves,
seam finishes and a cuffed
sleeve were made by each of the
girls,

Township Council at the March
meeting.
On an assessment of $2,865,430
this will raise $100,290.
