lace and blue chiffon ribbon
caught at intervals by appliques
of tiny blue flowers. The softly
gathered chiffon skirt of heaven-..
ly blue, was banded by a deep
ruffle.
They ..wore. giAtching_ribbons

twined with flowers' and carried
small nosegays of blue Sprayed
miniature carnations with white
daisies. .

Prior to the marriage the
bride was guest at a surprise
kitchen shower held by the
bridestriaids at the home of Miss
June Falconer. The Varna 4-H
club held a surprise shower at
the home of Mrs. Joyce Dawson.
AA community shower was held at
the Varna Hall. A shower was
held at the home of Mrs. D'Arcy
Rathwell's for the aunts and con-

Mrs. Berne McKinley play-
'ed traditional wedding music,
and Mr. Budd Boyes, Clinten,
• sang "The Wedding Prayer'.' and
"I'll Walk Beside You."
The bride chose a formal
length gown of lagoda with a
stand up collar, empire waist-
line , and long sleeves.. Nar-
row tucks defined the •front and
back bodice, yoke and, the deep
cuffs. Guipure lace fashioned
in leaves and grapes trimmed
the collar, cuffs, yoke, and exr .,
tended down the frpnt of the
softly gathered skirt and around
the built-in cathedral train. A
cap of lace and white ribbon held
the 3 - tier elbow length silk
it illusion Veil. She carried a
garland bouquet of pink., sweet-
heart roses combined with white
minature carnations and baby's
breath.
The maid of honour was Miss
Barbara McClure of London,
bridesmaids were Mrs. Mary Lou
Henry of Blyth, and Miss June
Falconer -of .6oderich. They
'chose matching gowns of chiffon
over taffeta with ivory bodice,
stand up collar and long full

St. Daniel's Roman Catholic
Church, Kitchener, was the
setting for the marriage of Laura
Ryan, Kitchener and Joseph
Glogoweki, Kitchener on August
26th at 2:30 with Father O'Brien

ceremony. The church was dec-
orated with baskets of pink glad-
foil and white mums.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ryan of
R.R.1, Dublin and the groom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph • Glogowski, Sydney Mines, 'Nova
Scotia. •

Cathy Murray, Seaforth was
the organist and acconipanied
the soloist, Larry Murray,
Walton when he sang 'Glory to
the Father', 'Holy, tioly, Holy',
and 'Leave it in the Hands of
the Lord'.
A 'reception was held at the
home of the bride's parents in
Dublin. The bride's mother
chose a full-length Sleeveless
mauve gown with corsage of
miniature purple carnations and
white accessories. The groom's
mother wore- a purple and white
dress with white accessories and
corsage of white• carnations.
For their honeymoon the bride
travelled. in a multi-coloured
smock With navy and white ac-
cessories.
The couple will reside in
Kitthener.
Guests were present from
Nova Scotia, Kitchener,
Waterloo, Dublin, Hamilton and

riage by her father. She chose
organza for her gown which had
a pink organza over-shirt and
bodice and was under lain in
-white organza which fell into
a train. The pink apron and
the neck line were edged In
flowered lace and smaller mat-
ching lace edged ,the skirt and
high waistline. The headpiece
was trimed by pink flowers and
ribbon and held a floor length
veil. She carried a bouquet of
pink roses, white carnations and
white babies breath trimed with
leather fern.

sheer trimmed with • pearl drops
