News of
Huronview
Young people from the Crediton United Cliiirch supplied •
the music for the Christian Women's Club Sunday evening
song service. The devotional period was taken by Mrs. Doug.
Warren.
Marie Flynn of Clinton along..with Norman Speir and Jerry
Collins. provided the music for Mondays get-together.
During the afternoon's activities two new residents
were introduced and welcomed .to Hurbnview.
One hundred and fifty residents along with several of
their relatives and friends were entertained on Family Night
by Earl and Martha Heywood of Wingham. The Heywoods
are well known to many of the residents,at Huronview, not
only for their appearances on CKNX T.V. and radio, but
because Martha was originally from Zurich and Earl from
Exeter, and they have lived in Wingham for a number of
years. The program included musical and vocal numbers.
as well as Earl's demonstration of magic. Alice Buchanan
thanked the entertainers on behalf of the residents.
With the fall and winter season approaching, one wonders
what can be done to make the spare time of the residents
at the Home more enjoyable. If yall or your:gr2ups have
any "ideas; :we wourd be gIacito heir from yOu. Some of the
most urgent needs at present are a sponsor for an over 90
club, volunteers for various programs, and variety pro-
grams for family night with a special request for vocal
quartets., .,- ,
