in the Sunday School rooms of
St. Peter's Lutheran Church, on

Everyone was welcomed by the
L.C.W.President, Mrs. George
Rock.
The social began with a pro-
gram. The hymn "Blest Be The
Tie That Binds" was sung in
unison, followed by a poem, "The
Lord Has a Job for Me" by Mrs.
George Rock. Mrs. Martha Hinz
gave a reading "Good Memories
and Prospects of Growing Old".
Mrs.Albert Bauer and Mrs.
Harold Elligsen sang a duet
accompanied by Mrs. Arthur
Horst. PaStor Horst shiewed
a movie film ,of his move from
Heidelberg to Brodhagen, which
he had taken at that time.
Familiar faces were seen to
add to the enjoyment of these
mother, Mrs. Mary Ryan, who,
has returned home from Seaforth
Hospital.

kora spent Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. Wilfred Maloney.

A roast beef dinner was
served in the 'basement which
was decorated with autumn
bouquets of flowers.

money. The vice-chairman
elairned that if the Christian
School students were incorp-
orated into the public schoolsys-
tern, the provincial grants would
be increased and figured on a
"different ratio", effedting a
more economical education for
the county public school support-
ers.
Mr. Bruinsma further had
charged "discrimination" ag-
ainst the CriSiran School Board.,
Mr. Broadfoot reminded the
board that some of the children
from families where their ming-
sters attend the Christian School
,Board School in Clinton attend.
Public school kindergartens and
opportunity classes.
"Is this discrimination?"
he asked.
Mr. Broadfoot further added
that if decisions hinge on "Cust-
oms and-traditions" as suggested
by Mr. Bruinsma, they could
also be attributed to the Christ-
ian School Board who chose to
opt out df the public school sys-
tem.

were surprised Sunday when their

Keys, Mack and Dorothy Shot-,
dice and Eleanor Keys arrived
to celebrate their 44th-Wedding
Anniversary 'and took them to
the Candle Light Restaurant,
Goderich for dinner.
On their return home they
were presented with 'gifts and
a beautifully decorated Anniver-
sary cake.
Mr. and Mrs. Keys were mar-
ried Sept. 21st , 1932 at the
home of the brides parents in
Grey Township.

in a safety prograni 'as the new
school year opens.

Safety Program was at the school
to .train the safety patrol squad
to exercise their responsibility
on the school busses and at ••,
school crossings.
Volunteers include nine girls
and seven., boys from grades six
to eight..
Interest in the safety program
was renewed by the trip which'
the patrol group made to Ottawa
