for the marriage of Mary
Elizabeth McCurdy, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs., William McCurdy,
Seaforth, and Nicholas Ian
Thomson, son of Mrs. Alma
Thomson, Hamilton, on August
12, 1972 at 4:00 p.m. Father
Laragh performed the Nuptial
Ceremony.
'The bride, given in marriage
by her father, chose a dirndl-
waisted, A-line gown of point
d'Alencon embroidered lace with
bishop sleeves and a high stand-
up collar. The I'M 1 lengtir lace----
edged veil was held in place by
a pearl trimmed halo of flowers.
She carried a cascade. of red
roses.
Miss Montea McCurdy, maid
of honour, and Miss Patricia
Thomson bridesmaid, were
dressed alike in white organza
flocked with small red velvet rose
buds. Red velvet ribbon trim-
med the empire'waisted dresses'
with :,eer yOkes, high stand-up
collars and short puffed sleeves.
White picture hats also trimmed
with red velvet ribbon completed
the charming scene.
Mr. William Thomson of
Hamilton was groomsman and
Mr. William McCurdy, Seaforth,
ushered the guests.
The organist, Mrs. Alice
Stiles, accompanied Miss Mary-
anne Segeren, who sang ,,We Will
Walk with Christ", "Prayer of
St. Francis",and "Ave Maria".
The reception was held at the
Seaforth Golf and Country Club.
Guests were received by the
bride's mother wearing an aqua
chiffon gown with white access-
ories.
For the wedding trip to the
Thousand Islands, the bride wore
a floor-length empire waisted
dress- with-long white sieev.es_angi _
collar;-blaele- bodice and red and-
black plaid skirt. A black pic-
ture hat completed the outfit.
Guests were present from
Seaforth, ,London, Kitchener,
Toronto, Hamilton and other
points in Ontario.
The couple will reside in
Stoney Creek, Ontario..

mony in Poole Mennonite Church,
on June 10, 1972 when Hilda
MoSselman, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Dirk Mosselman,. Brunner,
became the bride of Douglas
Edward /Wson Bach, son of Mr.
and Mrsielson Bach, Brunner.
Rev. Amsey Martin per-
formed the 3:00 p.m. service.
Given in marriage by, her
father, the bride chose . a
formal gown pf polyester organza
trimmed with Venice lace,
featuring wrist length sleeves,
empire waistline, wedding ring
• neckline and a detachable Watteau
chapel train. She carried a
bouquet of yellow rosebuds with
white stephanotis and ribbons on
a white Bible —
The 13oshart family pro-
vided the wedding music and
Brenda Boshart sang a solo.
Marilyn Bain served as maid
of honour and Darien Brunk as
bridesmaid. Marion Mosselman
was junior bridesmaid and Kim
Leis, flower girl. The atten-
dants wore formal gowns of
polyester flocked chiffon in
canary yellow and white daisy

father, the bride wore a long
gown of . nylon organza over
taffeta in Victorian style.The
skirt was trimmed with bands
* of cluny lace and a ruffled hem.
Her headpiece and long veil
were trimmed with the same lace.
She carried a bouquet of white
carnations, stephanotis and
baby's breath.'

Varna was 'h'e'r •sister's maid
of honour. She wore a long
gown of blue and mauve floral
crepe-de:.chine, featuring a high
waistline, ruffled hem and short
flared sleeves. The dress was
trimmed with a mauve belt and
"she wore matching mauve bows
• in her hair. She carried a
s' nosegay of mauve mums and
baby's breath.
Bridesmaids were Miss
Lenore Laing, London, sister

the top ,' decorated the bride's
table.
For a wedding trip to the
west Coast, the , bride donned a
dress of pink crepe with black
accessories.
The young couple will reside
in Seaforth.

from Hamilton, Zephr, Toronto,
Millbank, Wellesley, London,
Guelph, Seaforth,. Barrie, King-
ston, Kitchener, Clinton, Staffa,
Mitchell, Louisiana and Carlisle.

held in the Zurich Community
Centre, which was decorated with
fern, white gladioli and mauve
mums.
The bride's -mother chose a
long gown of pale blue nylon
sheer over taffeta. It featured
long full sleeves, embroidered
bodice and blue satin trim.
She wore a white orchid cor-
sage . The groom's mother
wore a long sleeveless gown of
periwinkle blue matte jersey with
matching hip-length jacket with
long, fitted sleeves. It featured
a •rolled_collar .with _gold buckle
matching the cumberbund on the
dress. She wore an orchid wrist
corsage. . •
For a wedding trip to the East
Coast the bride changed to along
gown of polyester crepe with hot
pink bodice and matching floral
skirt with g deep blue sash. She
wore a corsage•of white carnat-
ions. •
The couple will reside at
2485 Hurontario Street, Missis-
sauga.
The groom is' employed at
Erindale College of the Univer-
sity of Toronto and the bride is
a 19'71 graduate of Victoria Hos-
*Vital, London, and is employed
at the Mississauga Hospital.
Prior to her marriage, the
bride was honoured at a Com-
munity shower ii Goshen United
Church; Mrs. Go,-don Hill, the
bride's aunt, held a kitchen
shower for relatives. Marilyn
also received gifts from the
staff of the 5th floor west at
Victoria Hospital and, the 4-H
Club of Varna.

The bride was given in mar-
riage by her father. She

white organza lace With long
puffed sleeves of sheer organza.
The neckline was trimmed in
lace to match the lace on the
sleeve ending. Long satin ribbon
both front and back of the Empire
waistline with a long flowing train
trimmed in lace 'started at her
waist. She carried a bouquet of
yellow sweetheart roses and

Miss Betty Thompson, cousin
of the bride, was maid of honour.
She wore a green floOr-length
gown of polyester crepe with long
sleeves and daisy trim. •

Bill Pryor, sisteisof the gioom,
were bridesmaids. They wore
identical floor-length gowns in
yellow polyester crepe with long
sleeves and daisy trim.

Doris McKinley played the organ.

A-line gown of white organza,
styled with empire waistline, long
puffed sleeves with buttoned cuffs
and standup ruffle collar. She
wore a four-tiered veil of nylon
and silk illusion with scalloped.,
edges trimmed -in miniature
daisies, held in place by a pearl
trimmed cap. The bride carried
a bouquet - of red carnations and
white stephanotis.
The matron' of honor was the
sister of the bride, Mrs. Lois
Jones of Hensall. She wore a
floor-length, A'-line, gown of white
organza with embossed small red
roses, trimmed with daisies and
red velvet ribbon. •It was, styled
with an empire waistline and
elbow length droop sleeves. She
carried 'an arm bouquet of red
carnations,
The bridesmaids were Miss
Karen Oakes of Clinton, and Miss
Marilyn Lancaster of London.
They wore gowns identical to
the maid of honor's.
The groomsman was Lyall
Mabon of Thunder Bay, a friend
of the groom. The ushers were
Ivan Merrill of Clinton, brother
of the bride, and George Ribey
of Seaforth, brother of the groom.
The reception was held in the
church hall, which was decorated
with red geraniums contained in
brandy snifters, accented with
juniper greens and myrtle.
The mother of the bride wore
an orange ice 'crepe dress with
a corsage of matching carnattbns,
yellow and orange roses and white
stephanotis.
The groom's mother wore a
mauve and .sand ensemble of
crittplene with a corsage of
yellow. roses and white steph-
anotis.
The bride's travelling cos-
tume was a pink knit ensemble
with Matching crimplene
and white accessories.
' The wedding trip was to Ken-
tucky, Tennessee and the Great
Smokey Mountains.
They will reside at' R.R.
Goderich.
Hostesses for showers in the
bride's honor were Miss Karen
Oakes, R.R. 2, Clinton; Mrs.
Mildred Merrill, Bayfield; Mrs.
Marilyn French, held at Mrs.
Edith Tebbutt's, R.R. 2, Clinton
and Mrs. Irma Tyndall, Clinton.
A party was held at the home of
Mrs. Diane Brooks, London by
the London Life Ladies base-
ball team.
The mother of the bride was
hostess for a bridal trousseau

held at the Knights of Columbus
hall, Sarnia with 'Mr. Barney
Tanner as master of ceremonies.
The bride's mother receive -,
guests wearing a two-piece beige,
lace dress with white.accessor-
ies and a corsage of mauve and
white carnations. The groom's
mother assisted in a two-piece
pink lace dress with white ac-
cessories and a corsage of pink
and white carnations.
For travelling the bride wore
a pale green flocked batiste dress
with white accessories and a
'Corsage of yellow sweetheart
roses. They left by plane for
a hpney,moon in Tamtment,Pa.
Mr. and Mrs. John Collins
will reside in Sarnia.
